They say guns don’t kill people, stupid people with guns kill people. I think the same can be said for the media. Fake news doesn’t change elections, stupid, gullible ass-hats with fake news and social media trigger fingers change elections.

Raise your hand if you’ve shared a “CNN” article about Tupac being alive in Jamaica? Ok, now fill up your bathtub, plug in your toaster oven, hold it in your hands and jump into that steaming pool of death. If you commented (to the affirmative) on a news story about the Pope supporting Donald Trump sourced from christiandailyjournalofomaha.com please stand up. Now kindly find the closest ice pick and jam it into your eye.

Facebook and Google are getting a lot of flak for allowing “fake news” to pollute the airwaves, change elections and claim that Harambe rose from the dead on the 3rd day. But why is it Google and Facebook’s job to be the ignoramus police? There’s nothing illegal about spreading fake news, just ask The Onion … and Breitbart. And why take a body shot at the issue when we can lop off it’s head in all its epic Game of Thrones glory? The underlying problem here is stupid people, so maybe instead of shutting down the drug dealers, we round up all the drug users and do what natural selection should have done long ago?

You lose your right to internet when you give money to a Nigerian prince and you should lose it if you buy into breaking “Apple Bankruptcy” news from Reuters.org. There is one common denominator in all of this: the end consumer. Google and Facebook shouldn’t be blamed for spamming the world wide webs in the same way pranksters can’t be blamed for having a sucker for a roommate who falls for the same gag multiple times.
